The vehicle data fitting is important on the design, so, it is necessary to study the fitting problem. A lot of aspect has been concerned, this article aimed on the turning mechanism and engine test data optimization fitting. The data fitting is mean to discuss how to fit the disperse data, or how to express the data by function. A lot of scientists have studied this and obtained much harvest. This article still discusses data fitting on the theory basis in the application of motor engineering. Ultimately is the unite of theory and fact, which include arithmetic, function, software, and so on. On the arithmetic selection, the data fitting is of multi-goal problems; the least square has merit. So, in this article, the least square is be used. By the practice in vehicle, the least square showed its good merit. On selection of function, the turning mechanism must use the analytics. About the engine test data fitting, the function must be used to fit the test data, which exclude the multinomial. By the use of "peaks", the data could be fitted fully, which multinomial could not. About the software, use the big math application software-----MATLAB, which has been used in every work of engineering. To use it, the middle way progress could be avoided, which in other language condition would be complex and unvoiced. By the use of order "lsqnonlin", the arithmetic of "least square"could be obtained.
