Eliminating harmonic pollution and improving power factor is an essential part of the power electronics researching field. Because PWM rectifier have the virtues: high power factor and bidirectional transmission of power, the study of the three-phase PWM rectifier applying to medium and large power is becoming one of the studying hotspots on international and native. So it is essential to study the control strategy.Firstly, the paper discusses the principle of the three-phase Voltage Source Rectifier (VSR) .On the basis of deriving the rectifier' s mathematical model, the control ways are summarized and their features are pointed out. The paper work at the control algorithms mostly. The theory and the control way of the voltage space vector PWM (SVPWM) are described in detail. And presents two control ways based on SVPWM. One is changing the partition of the vector sector. Another is adopting non-standard vertical reference frame to judge the vector sector and calculate the action time. Both the ways make the calculate load of the SVPWM reduced and more easily digital. Then because of the non-line of the PWM rectifier, the paper describes the control law based on Lyapunov's stability theory. It is shown that the rectifier can be stabilized globally for large-signal disturbances.In the paper, the designing method of the parameter of the main circuit is also described. At last, the whole simulation module of control system is built up under the power MATLAB/SIMULINK platform and the above several ways are used in the simulation module. The result of the simulation proves that the control ways are right and feasible.
