With the rapid development of the microelectronics and computer technology, especially the development of the SCM(Single Chip Microcomputer), the great changes have taken place in the area of instrumentation, and a new generation of instruments-intelligent instruments are becoming known.TYZ-3 soil nutrition gauge is a new-style intelligent instrument with the functions of measuring soil nutrition, analyzing and exchanging the data and so on. This paper mainly aims at studying the theory and function of this system, on the basis of the instrument and a series of experiments. Try to make following gains:1. In order to analyze and research the theory and function of the circuit, designed a new circuit with the equal function, by using effectively modern digital technology and computer technology.2. By making good use of modern measuring technology and the analysis of the data, try to find the relationships among them.3. By means of software and compensation to solve the problem of some kinds of errors taken place during the experiment.
