Composite structure of bricks walls and concrete shear walls is a new kind of united anti-lateral load structure, in which some R.C shear walls are set. This kind of structure has many advantages of ordinary masonry structure, moreover, its seismic performances are improved by adding R.C shear walls. In this thesis, based on the research of the former scholars, the nonlinear time-history analysis and static nonlinear pushover analysis are used in the study of the composite structure. The result shows that the two kinds of walls combined work harmoniously and have good seismic performances if they are designed properly. In the nonlinear time-history analysis, based on the comprehension and the application of the former relevant theories and calculating methods. A relevant time-history analytic program is complied. The analytic results of two examples are well consistent to the test. It is shown that the program in this paper is reasonable and reliable. In the static nonlinear pushover analysis, basic concepts and different methods of the static nonlinear pushover analysis are summarized. The method for determining target displacement in pushover analysis is adapted to composite structure of brick walls and concrete shear walls. A relevant analytic program is complied, the comparative analysis of nonlinear time-history analysis and the static pushover analysis are presented by using two examples, it is demonstrate that the pushover analysis is feasible and practical, at the same time, the effects of the earthquake and deformed features are well reflected. At finally, the design illustration and usage of the visual software of composite structure(MRCSAl.O) are developed.
