With the progress of manufacturing, case-hardened double-circular-arc gear of carbonization and quenching is used more and more in low speed and heavy-load transmission filed. However, research on loading capacity and reliability of this kind gear is still at initial stage. During the progress of loading transmission, load of double-circular-arc gear is focused on a short contact trace of the tooth width, so the root stress is large. When pulsating bending stress of tooth is larger than fatigue limit of material, the tooth is broken due to the expansion of fatigue crack. After the tooth surface is hardened, the resistance capacity of corrosive pitting and binding is strengthened apparently and the bending fatigue failure is the main failure form. Therefore, the key of increasing the loading capacity of case-hardened double-circular-arc gear is to strengthen the bending strength and it is an inevitable choice to explore new tooth profile, for example, ZY-1 model of ZRIME.For studying the bending resistance capacity of case-hardened double-circular-arc gear, the ZiRui CAE 2.0 software was used to analyse the ZY-1 model three dimension(3D) tooth model made in Solid Works software and ZY-1 model is compared with 91 model . For 91 model case-hardened double-circular-arc the bending fatigue limit test was done, and the root stress of tooth was measured under load by electrometric method. After testing the carbonization gear root bending fatigue strength of 20CrMnMo and 20CrNi2Mo, the value of bending fatigue limit...
