Card-cut machine is one special device to produce cards. Currently there are two kinds of card-cut machine in the market, one is by hand with low efficiency and the quality is not good; the other is totally automatic from abroad with high efficiency. But it is expensive. Neither one machine is good choice to the middle or small size company. So, that's very urgent to develop one new electric card-cut machine with both high efficiency and low cost. At the same time, we have more requirements on the function, that need to improve the design method, improve current technical performance, reliability, cost and make it better to use. That's very important and meaningful to find the solution.The developing history, status and researching directions about electric card-cut machine are summarized in the thesis. Principles and methods and domestic and international state of development of the Innovation Design and Design Methodology are discussed.According to the theory and method of Mechatronics product, to deploy the applying research of innovation design of card-cut machine. As we know, the product system is very complicated, to finish the function technical flow, it is divided into three parts, which is called "Three Sub System Theory", namely executive system, sensitive system, data and information disposing and controlling system. That's the function to finish mechanical movement, sensing the information, disposing the control the information, we get serial mechatronics product scheme via integration optimizing.Set up special chart according to the market requirement and the feed back from our customer, the design requirements for details, apply the thoughts and methods of mechatronics innovation design, and distill the main function of the electric card-cut machine, then decompose the main function to get the resolution of each function, finally, get a set of schemes of the electric card-cut machine.According to the product characteristic, economical, technical and social factors, set up proper assessment index, use multi-level, multi-target AHP assessment method, we compare the several schemes together and get the best one.According to the operation theory and function requirement, we use Pro/E software tocarry on the structural design of the general operation part, CAE software ------ADAMS to dothe analysis of kinematics and dynamics and to optimize to the operation part, and get the final design scheme.We made the prototype and had some test, the result means that either the card-cut efficiency and quality is much improved than ever.The innovation design quickens the progress of card-cut machine's design, and makes it much more efficient, and shortens the period of the design. The application of CAD and CAE is an important and active aid in deciding the parameter of the structure, and it makes the design much more reliable.
