The booming development of ceramic tile industry in our country required high speed, high precision, automation and online inspection on its products and also on ceramic tile products. In this dissertation,at first the importance of ceramic tile online inspection was summarized, then a few kinds of ceramic tile geometric dimension online inspection techniques were thoroughly analyzed; designed the overall plan of online inspection system of geometric dimension of ceramic tile; developed the inspection sensor which based on linear CCD, including the optical system of inspection sensor, the driving circuit of linear CCD sensor and its signal processing circuit; developed the software system for data acquisition based on industrial control computer; in the end investigated the performances of the inspection system.Present dissertation coveres the following contents:In chapter one, the importance of ceramic tile online inspection was summarized, then the ceramic tile online inspection technique situation at present was introduced.In chapter two, the ceramic tile online inspection system was analyzed, then the inspection system was designed properly. In order to advanced the velocity of inspection the synchronous belt mechanical structure was used. Using the adjustable device, the inspection system can be utilized in inspecting the various length of ceramic tile.In chapter three, at first the operating principle of CCD was analyzed in detai 1, then the hardware of inspection system developed, including the linear CCD sensor, including the driving circuit of linear CCD sensor, post processing circuit, interface circuit and the optical system of CCD inspection sensor.In chapter four, firstly the framework of system software wasf designed, then the relative program based on multithread and driver program was developed. The system can be calibrated through software.In chapter five, the feasibility of overall scheme of inspection system, the efficiency of the developed hardware and software were verified.In chapter six, mian results and conclusions of this dissertation was provided, and the prospects of the future research were disscussed.
