The original EPS foam cushion of "Nobel" ceramic tile has good cushioning and antivibration performance, but it is undegradeable and unrecyclable, , which doesn't accord with the environmental protection requirements. Moreover, the foam takes up a large space and the mould is expensive. Especially, the cushion is lack of multiple protection function, because it is easy to crack after repeated shock. Therefore, it is important for us to use environment-friendly packaging materials, improve the manner of packing and design moderate package.This subject studied and analysed the vulnerable degree of fragile products, discussed its characterization, designed a systematic cushion package scheme for fragile products such as ceramic tile to reduce the damage rate of products, and finally solved the problems among environmental protection, performance and cost of products'package. The main research content of this subject includes the following points:(1) The circulation environment, excitation condition and damage mechanism of the ceramic tile were analysed. Vulnerability of ceramic tile under a complicated excitation condition was discussed.(2) The EPS foam was replaced with environmental-friendly corrugated board. Performance analysis and comparison of two cushion packaging material were carried out. The damp-proof problem of corrugated board scheme was investigated and some measures were taken to improve the cushioning performance of corrugated cardboard package.(3) Several different cushion structures were designed base on the vulnerability of the ceramic tile. A comprehensive comparasion for these different cushions was made from the following aspects: cushioning performance, packaging cost and operation convenience, etc. Finally optimized the design scheme.(4) Samples of the optimized scheme were made and Drop and vibration tests were carried out to verify the main using performance of the corrugated cardboard structure. The load-carrying and cushioning properties of the structure were evaluated.(5) An evaluation system for moderate cushion packaging was built. Packaging life cycle as the starting point, evaluation and optimal selection of cushioning packaging scheme were achieved with the analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Eventually, the obtained the cushion packaging met the principle of moderate packaging.
