Linear accelerometer plays a very important part in aerospace industry. Testing technique is a key to manufacture of linear accelerometer. It is a standard method for both manufacturers and users to first characterize inertial accelerometers in a 1-g field through the use of an earth-bound dividing head for the purpose of measuring its scale factor and error coefficients. Unfortunately, the 1-g maximum limitis usually far less than the acceleration level in the real applications. This challenges old testing method. On the other hand, conventional methods of data acquisition and data processing are unfit for vast test work and multifarious data acquisition increasingly. So, it is important to improve level of research and test accelerometer by applying automatic test technique and database management technique on accelerometer testing.Based on the analysis and summary of existing accelerometer test technique, This paper did some researches on testing data acquisition and DBMS for linear accelerometer by applications of automatic test technique, software engineering conception and database management technique. The main achievements and creative ideas of the paper are as follows:(1) Discussed the development and actuality of accelerometer test technique, and the significance of accelerometer test by automatic test technique. According to the analysis of domestic present study and application status of accelerometer automatic test technique, this paper presented a new method of assessing accelerometer performance depending on full-scale testing by high-g precisioncentrifugal machine. This new idea will help the further study of accelerometer in full-scale test technology.(2)Discussed the basic ideas of software engineering, According to the analysis of system subjects and requirements, this paper dissertated the general planning of the test system, and illustrated the gross framework and function modules with graphics and texts.(3) Introduced the evolution of data management technique, and the common theories of database design technique. On the basis of classifying management of the accelerometer test data, this paper discussed the method of establishing accelerometer test database with SQL Server 2000 and the method of building up data processing application program with Delphi 5.(4)Discussed and analyzed the new arithmetic of accelerometer full-scale static performance in detail.(5) At the end of this paper, the experiments and the running result of this new test system were given, and the further research works were discussed.The establishing of such a software system of data acquisition and DBMS of accelerometer sets out a feasible way to improving the research of accelerometer by application of automatic test technique and database management technique. The research makes sense both for theory and practice.
