Towards Ecolgical Dwelling House

"Dwelling house are crucial to people, for people live on the basis of them and they in return exist because of the needs of people." This is said to be at the beginning of "The Classic of Emperor's Residence". Pondering over it, I'm moved. Isn't such harmonious and poetic residence the dream we forever pursue?Now it's 21s' century in which human beings are faced with more and more serious environmental threats, including increasing greenhouse effect, destroyed energy circulatory system in nature, gradually exhaustion of the limited resources on the earth. The relation between human beings and environment has entered an extremely dangerous period.As a pillar industry of the country and as a capital-intensive industry concerning the people's livelihood, dwelling-housing industry, closely related to ecology and energy, plays a crucial role in national economy and social development. Therefore, whether dwelling-housing industry can implement the idea of scientific development and realize an overall, harmonious and sustainable development is of vital importance to the whole society's sustainable development.Firstly, we read and studied a vast amount of documents about the development of modern dwelling house, clarified that ecotype development of dwelling house is the inexorable trend of times, elaborated the importance and necessity of the idea, ecotype design, in designing modern dwelling house, and explored how to approach the aim of ecotype design as much as possible in a reasonable way.Secondly, in studying the ecotype essence in traditional local-style dwelling house, we realized the ideas,"combining into one of nature and human beings" , "taking human beings as the root" and "suiting measures to local conditions" , can be used for reference in the ecotype design of modern dwelling house and are worth learning and summarizing.Lastly, we tentatively explored the energy saving and the interior physical environment of ecological dwelling house, including sound, light and heat environment. According to the standard in A Technology Evaluation Handbook of Chinese Ecological Dwelling House, we chose two dwelling house built in different ages as samples and measured and evaluated the sound and light environment of them.Human beings and dwelling house are complementary to each other, which are the same as sky and land. Yearning for a more beautiful residence in the future, employing the principle and idea of ecotype design and modern, scientific technology, we are sure of creating a more comfortable and harmonious ecotype residence.
