Expressway plays an important role in modern economic development. Asphalt pavement has been widely applied all over the world because of its excellent level of service. Among high-grade highways in China, over 90% are of Asphalt pavement. As the surface layer of highway, asphalt pavement opens directly to the vehicles' loads and natural conditions, so it should have adequate abilities of strength, stiffness, stabilization, endurance, levelness and skid-resistance. Because asphalt, the binder of asphalt mixtures, is a kind of complex carbon-and-hydroxide chemical combination and has obvious temperature susceptibility, asphalt mixtures is a type of typical visco-elasticity material, in other words, it shows linear-elasticity under low temperature or/and little deflection, visco-plasticity under high temperature or/and relatively big deflection, and visco-elasticity in most cases.Low-temperature cracking, as one of the main factors influencing highways' performance, has always been heavily concerned by highway workers of the cold countries like North-America, Canada, Japan, etc. throughout the worlds. In northeastern area of China, low temperature cracking is severe and common. When the outside temperature lows rapidly or lows after rises repeatedly, all kinds of cracks will be found on the pavement's surface. This will not only influence the highways' profile, but also destroy it's surface under the actions of vehicle loads together with water. On the basis of many reference books and specifications, the work of...
