The highway slope is the artificial barrier to prevent natural hazard such as debris flow, landslide and collapse. It acts very important role for the highway' s regular service and vehicle' s running safty. The slope treatment is a disaster prevention and control project which technique is complication and construction is very difficulty. Especially in westward where geologic condition is complex and the environment of artificial slope and natural slope is relatively inclement, the slope problem in highway project building stands out particularly. The slope design, stability monotoring and slope' s information management are important component parts of highway project in different phase.Along with project construct and technology developing swift and violent, a vatiety of new technology, new method and new theory has been used to treat slope project continually. With treatment project in Er-kang section of 318 national highway, Three aspects are discussed in this paper, including slope design method, stability monotoring and information management as following.(1) Owing to all sorts of badness geological condition, there appeard collapse or rockfall or slippage after the slopes were excavated. It threatened the safty of running vehicle and person. Based summarizing the method of high slope, this paper analyses the design of the high slopes in Er-kang section.(2)The state of slope and its shoring structures are changed at any moment because of all kinds of force and nature factor. If it happened but been ignored, the aftereffect may be very serious. If some necessary and effective observation instrument was used to monitor slope, detect problem in time and then effective means was adopted, the catastrophic accident can be avoided. This paper introduces the method of monitoring high slope and implements for the high slopes at the marker K2778+350~+610 and K2791+600.
