As one of the intelligent control methods, fuzzy control is independent of the accurate model, able to overcome the influence of nonlinear factors, and has robust control solution for the variety from the parameters of the dominate system. When used to the control of variable-frequency regulating speed for AC induction motor, fuzzy control can reform robustness, improve both the dynamic and static performances of the system.This paper studies high performance control methods of AC induction motor, whose development course is expatiated. The recent development of fuzzy control in AC motor is also presented. The basic principles of VVVF and vector control are expounded, after introducing math models of the AC induction motor in 2-phase and 3-phase coordinate. The structures of slip frequency control and vector control are analyzed, compared, and their advantage and disadvantage are indicated respectively.Fuzzy control is applied to variable-frequency regulating speed of AC induction motor in this thesis, where one kind of fuzzy controller of speed is designed with Mamdani model. Then the slip frequency control system made up of fuzzy controller is simulated, the simulation results show that its performance is better than that of general PI controller.The comprehensive research to the technology of digital control for AC induction motor based on DSP is made. The method of overall digital variable-frequency speed regulation system by TMS320LF2407 is presented, which is a digital implementation plan of high performance control for AC induction motor. The structure of its hardware and the modules of its software are introduced in detail.
