Masonry structure is widely used in our country, and masonry structure with RC floors has rich economical and practical value because it could save cement, steel, and wood, what's more the material made of it could be obtained locally. But recently, individual engineering accidents about masonry structure buildings with RC floors in our country happen. Because of these people begin to be suspicious of analytical models of multistory masonry structure buildings with RC floors and the use of multistory masonry structure buildings with RC floors is restricted. From the point of view of the bearing of masonry structure with RC floors, the layout of walls could be divided into three basic systems: the bearing of longitudinal wall, transversal wall and mixture of them. The experimental study and analysis in theory of analytical models of bearing longitudinal wall for multistory masonry structure buildings with RC floors are presented in the paper. Firstly through the experiment of a two-story, and one-span masonry structure with RC floors, the restriction of wall on the beam end is researched. The angular rotation of beam end, the deflection on the middle of beam, the restriction moment on the beam end, and the restriction moment on the middle of beam are obtained. The result of the experiment with the result calculating with hinge joint static scheme and the rigid joint static scheme are compared. In order to find out the factor of the change of restriction moment on beam end further, the nonlinear finite element analysis of the restriction moment on the beam end is done secondly. Through the nonlinear finite element analysis on experimental model, the result of nonlinear finite element analysis of experiment model is obtained and compared with the date of experiment. In addition for the difference of the joint of the level floor element and the wall, the length of beam in the wall, and the span of the beam, 28 models with each model subjected 5 loading conditions are made. The restriction moment of wall on the beam end in various cases is obtained, and variety regulation of the restriction moment is analyzed. Finally according to the results of nonlinear finite element analysis, the statistical analysis is done and the analytical method of internal force of bearing longitudinal wall for multistory masonry structure buildings with RC floors in various cases is got. It is suggested by the results of experiment that the restriction moment of wall on the beam end for multistory masonry structure buildings with RC floors exists. The calculating diagram of multistory masonry structure buildings with RC floors is not simply hinge, but frame. Through nonlinear finite element analysis, the restriction moment on the beam end has something to do with the stiffness of the beam, the stiffness of masonry, the length of beam in the wall, upper load on the wall, the load on the beam, and the joint of the beam and the wall. So it is very complicated. Finally the analytical method of internal force of bearing longitudinal wall for multistory masonry structure buildings with RC floors differing with design code for masonry structure is given and references for the design of multistory masonry structure buildings with RC floors are offered.
