As a key link of last process in production, the importance of diesel engine running-in on test bed has been approved owing to vital effect on the safety, reliability and lifetime.During the last twenty years, though a lot of studies were focused on the diesel engine running-in, the systematic integrity appeared insufficient in both the theory and experiment.In this text, the study was conducted to the diesel engine running-in on test bed by advanced Oil Analysis, Surface Analysis. Based on the spectrographic analysis, ferrographic analysis, particle counting, and scanning electronic microscope analysis, the extraction of lubricant analysis results have been completed by methods as tendency chart analysis and forms. On the basis of these information, we can analyses the performance of diesel engine running-in on the test bed and reach a comprehensive technology assessment of diesel engine running-in, at same time we also can find out some shortcomings of the process of running-in. Based on these works, we can put up advices to redeem these shortcoming depending on intelligence's expertise. Surface Analysis mainly based on analysis to the different feature between the abrasive surface ahead and after running-in, and reflect the profile changes, the abrasive position and the abrasive degree of two conditions. At last, we can realize the comprehensive appraisal both of the quality and the using technology of diesel engine running-in on the bed.The study on comprehensive assessment of diesel engine test-bed running-in technology make us enable to recognize the original state of diesel engine, improve lubricant capacity of wear mates, increase reliability and lifetime of diesel engine. This can not only bring remarkable economic benefit, but also resolve various problems of diesel engine in running-in process. The results are subservient to accomplish standardization of running-in technology.The studying means, studying method and studying achievement are universal applicable to running-in study of marine engine, automotive engine and locomotiveengine.It is available to accumulate the achievement and experience of the diesel engine running-in study by developing the diesel engine running-in quality and technology assessment. The thesis is a good foundation for the further study in the object.
