The ultrasonic motor is a motor that a kind of new principle obtained driving force, it utilizes the piezoelectricity effect of the piezoelectric ceramic to make the stator produce ultrasonic vibration, drive the rotor through the friction among the stator and rotor. Compared with traditional electric motor, it have the characteristic that structure compactness , low-speed and big torque , locking without power of electricity, free of magnetic field and respond quickly etc, therefore it is suitable for applying to household appliances , robot, the device orienting accurately , miniature machinery , aviation spacecraft ,etc. There are wide application prospects .This thesis analyse the ultrasonic motor that curving vibration travelling wave type rotating on the sheet metal . This thesis utilize the analytic method to stator of ultrasonic motor the curving vibration, receive the theory expression formula of the natural frequency of the round annular sheet metal. Probing the realization way of travelling wave into the stator of motor, proving the surface of motor stator particle existence oval of sport at the wave. Analyseing the theory of power transmission of the ultrasonic motor of. To the key component of the ultrasonic motor- Piezoelectric ceramic, carried on the preliminary introduction from piezoelectricity effect, several important physical characteristic parameters of piezoelectricity material and piezoelectricity equations.Through the analyse to the stator and rotor strength and oval locomotion orbit confirm the surface of the round ring driving the stator rub. This is resolved that the question noticed on stator structural design of the travelling wave ultrasonic motor in mode (3,1). And bring forward the guideline choosing the motor material. Analysing the influence that rubs material to motor performance and the adjustment of the rubs material performance parameter.Bringing forward the speed regulating method that combines together to frequency conversion and adjusted the phases on the ultrasonic motor. Because ofultrasonic motor usually work at syntony frequency nearly, the speed regulating rely mainly on the way of adjusting the frequency. When needing large range of regulating, it can switch over to the way of adjusting the phases. The singlechip 8051 is the central control module in the whole controlling system, complementing it with many kinds of peripheral interface chip, it simply and conveniently realize the speed regulating function.Compared with maturity design system of the traditional electric magneto, the time of ultrasonic motor develops is very short, there are a lot of theoretical questions not to solve in the design about the ultrasonic motor, have not set up systematic design theory and design method yet. Because ultrasonic motor moves from transmitting rub sport, a unavoidable question is that it produces friction surface calefactive, this makes piezoelectric ceramic and rub material performance parameter change, thus performance and service life of motor would be influenced. So there are a lot of researchful work needing to do in about ultrasonic motor, and there have the value that further investigate too.
