Ultrasonic motor(USM)is a new kind of motor with strong comprehensive that developed rapidly since the 80 s of last century,the reason why it calls ultrasonic motor is because it's operating resonance frequency is in the ultrasonic frequency domain.The working principle of ultrasonic motor is different from the traditional electromagnetic motor,using the inverse piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric ceramic to generate ultrasonic vibration,and then through the friction effect between stator and rotor,delivery energy to the rotor to make rotor run,and driving the load.Ultrasonic motor has advantages of compact structure ? high-torque at a low-speed ? no electromagnetic interference,fast response,good control characteristics,low noise and so on,so it has broad application prospects in fields such as precision instruments?intelligent robot?aerospace?office automation equipments.Ultrasonic motor works rely on the driving system,through the working principle of ultrasonic motor,we know that the driving system drives the piezoelectric ceramic directly,so,this paper researches and designs the driving system of piezoelectric ceramic oriented towards ultrasonic motor.Based on the research of ultrasonic motor and its driving system,we analyze the driving system's requirements that drive piezoelectric ceramic oriented towards ultrasonic motor,and design a kind of driving system based on DDS technology.The driving system is mainly composed of STM32 as the core controller,DDS chip as the signal generator?the corresponding regulate circuits?the input and display circuits of parameters,due to the driving system mainly uses the digital integrated chips and microprocessors,the system tends to miniaturization and intelligent and has high control precision.The paper introduces principle of each module and draws the circuit schematic diagrams?designs corresponding software programs?makes the driving system and set up the experimental platform for experiments,the experimental results show that the driving system can output two sine signals that meet the driving requirements of the ultrasonic motor,and can realize high resolution of adjustable frequency and adjustable voltage,to meet the speed control requirements of ultrasonic motor.
