The digitization of analog sonar can not be realized without data collecting system. In this thesis, analog imaging sonar has been studied based on analyses of the Seabat6012 Sonar, we develop a set of data collecting system which can real-time collect the analog onsignal.This thesis introduces the theory and development of data collecting system also including the Seabat6012 Sonar, and then, presenting realizing plan and course designed and debugging of the data acquisition system for the analog sonar's signal. The system hardware adopts the PCI bus board in PC and uses CY7C09449-AC, CYPRESS Inc as PCI interface CMOS chips while EPM7256, ALTERA Inc has been used in system logic design of ALTERA QUATUS II. Based on signal characteristics, we discuss the mode of A/D conversion, and buffer structure in the data collection.Starting with conception and function of the WDM drivers, this thesis explains basic status and characteristics of the WDM drivers. We also choose Driverworks as our drivers' development considering system characteristics. We have successfully designed a driver operated on Windows2000. In order to combine design thoughts and specific realizing methods, we clearly provide structure and flows of drivers. And finally we briefly present drivers installation and debugging processing and discuss the problems in the debugging course.Finally, the thesis also presents the application of this collecting system on the Underwater Intelligent Robot. This system has accomplished the task of testing in the outfield experiment of the Underwater Intelligent Robot and proved through the experiment.
