The container port is becoming more and more important for the regional economic development because of the advantage of the containers in the transportation and the increase of the goods which is suitable to the containers. To achieve more economic benefit, the ports must be more attractive to compete for the supply of goods, and provide excellent service and efficiency.The research of the logistics of port containers is limited in the "soft science" such as management science, which considers the flow style of the containers as certain before investigation and optimization. This kind of research ignores the essential flowing property, and can not describe logistics estate.This paper considers that logistics phenomena has the essential intrinsic law of the movement as fluid does in the nature, and some undiscovered estate and property could be explained by comparing with nature fluid. Noticing the analogue between port container logistics and fluid, the paper presents to research and simulate the port container logistics through the method of classical fluid dynamics.The paper firstly sets up the contrasting relation between the port container logistics and the fluid dynamics in the conception system, it uses the principle of mass conservation and momentum theorem to analysis the freight flow in the roadway of the port. Then, it distinguishes the flow pattern of the container freight flow in the roadway, deducting the optimum length expression within the condition that the roadway holds the most traffic capacity and has no traffic jam. The paper resolves the difficulty of time and space integration through the geometry principle based on the hypothesis of the linear density distribution that is adopted here.The length formula of port roadway provides the reference of the port roadway design. After analyzing the formula, the paper discusses how to design the length of the port roadway based onthe most traffic flux, how to control the time span and the speed in the rush hour within the condition of the port roadway now, and how to set up the location and the number of the strobe. The paper also validates the research fruit with the data of Qingdao port. The conclusion of the paper has the guiding significance and the results are valid in port planning and operating.
