With the rapid development of containerization,the port owners need to make scientific researches on new technology for the sake of the optimization of the logistics system and the improvement of the ability for competition.In this paper,the process of container terminal operations and the traditional mode were analyzed,and then two questions are illustrated,one is the routing optimization for Container Trucks,the other is to establish the dispatching model for Quay Cranes in the Container Terminal.Finally,the Ant Colony Optimization and Genetic Algorithm are respectively used to seek the solution of the two models which are about the routing optimization for Container Trucks and the dispatching of the Quay Cranes in the Container Terminal.Based on the analysis of the process of container terminal operations and the traditional mode,the routing optimization,which targets in the minimum route of Container Trucks is on top of presented.The model is to seek the shortest route of Container Trucks which travels from the source to the destination,and the Ant Colony Optimization is used to solve the model.It is proved by the examples that the problem for the Container Trucks to search the shortest path can be solved with ant colony algorithm effectively.Afterwards,the traditional dispatching mode of the container Quay Cranes is presented,then,the actual factors of the Quay Cranes are taken into account and the dispatching model which targets in the minimum serving time of the Quay Cranes is established.After that,the Genetic Algorithm is applied to seek the solution of the model. It is indicated by the experiments that the algorithm can solve the model which is established in the text effectively,decrease the serving time of the Quay Cranes and the time in part of the ships,and ultimately the throughput of the container terminal is enhanced.According to our research,the possibility of decreases of container trucks' transporting distance,the serving time of the Quay Cranes and the time in part of the ships were presented.Furthermore,the rate of using the equipment and the throughput of the container terminal are enhanced.
