Double box-beam rod structure is a new structure, which appeared in late of 20 century, composing of compress-bending component (calling rigid component, usually as beam, arc and truss), string (calling flexible component, usually as cable or rod) and compression component that links the formers. BSS (Beam String Structure) is forepart style of tension structure, owing advanced theory and more applications. Large span double box-beam rod structure is born out of BSS. In the structure, box-beam with great rigidity plays the role of compress-bending component and rods replace the string. The function of whole structure is improved owing to the high-tension capability of rods, suitable to large span. Rods have some characteristics as bellow:①Finite rigidity. Comparing to the steel wire and string, rod owes certain rigidity, strictly belonging to tension-bending component.②Obvious nonlinear character from the clearance of joint.③Parallel rods. For the large section of beam, Parallel rods are suspended under every piece of box-beam to achieve more great stability. But in fact, it is hard to get the tension in every rod same.④Tension declining quickly. Due to the form of joint and the rigidity of rod, tension descends greatly on far end. This article mainly states the rod in double box-beam rod structure, involving forging, nonlinear analyze, computer simulating, installing and monitoring technology and so on. The content is composed of five aspects as follow:①Forging. Introducing some crafts such as forging, heat treatment and heat-plating zinc.②Nonlinear analyze. Rod is made up of subsections that are linked by screw nut. As a component of structure, it is not a continuum, performing obvious nonlinear behavior. ③Computer simulating. Model of structure is made in finite software to analyze the change of numbers'stress and displacement under various load and tension order, in order to find out the best tension method.④Installation technology such as fixing, measuring and tensioning. ⑤Stress monitoring technology .Briefly introducing the principle characteristic, equipments, and crafts and so on.
