After China's entry into WTO, our enterprises should not only increase their productivity, but also enhance the competitive power, the enterprise informatization has become the popular demand by diverse enterprises. Each enterprise is searching for a good management system for production and operation to improve efficiency in production, operation and management as well, thereby enhance its own core competitive advantage. While the key is whether the production and scheduling process could achieve the optimal solution, the research on the production planning and scheduling is of great value both in theory and in practice. Based on the kind of medium & small scale of equipment enterprises, the paper studies the target function and optimization algorithm of production scheduling. Based on the thought and method of Manufacturing Execution System (MES), the paper introduces the theory of MES, details the data exchange in MRPII/MES/Bottom control, then discovers the plans in MRPII/ERP are just up to the component level, we get MRP and producing orders or stock orders in the end of planning process. MES creates the job planning according to the producing orders in ERP, and job planning is up to the working procedure level, which is involved in the shop scheduling problem in production management. After detailing the objective, types and relative algorithm of production scheduling, the paper expounds the general idea of genetic algorithm and its basic realization technology. Then the paper puts emphasis on the production plan adjusting under the situation of uncertain due date, and puts forward an optimum module considering both the immediate financial loss and the customer's satisfactions, and introduces the coefficient which values the customers'importance to enterprise. The paper subsequently sets up a mathematical model in the condition of uncertain due date and designs a computer simulation system in light of genetic algorithm to carry on an emulation experiment. The paper programs with C language. The results are satisfactory and indicate the optimum module has good effect.
