This paper has summarized the current situation of the development of Elevated Platform Firefighting Truck (hereafter referred to as Platform Firefighting Truck ) both at home and abroad. Aimed at the complex situation of big Platform Firefighting Truck, such as high work height, large work range, complex structure of arm support and chassis, etc, structural parametric design is proposed for solving the complicated and inaccurate problem of operating condition and stress analysis. The parameter mathematics model based on mechanics principle and the design and realization of the parameter software are explained in detail. This project is developed for the research object by the heavy-duty industrial Co., Ltd. Model DG68 Platform Firefighting Truck of Xuzhou. VC6.0 is adopted as the developing platform , has realized the convenient change to the parameter in the course of designing. The efficiency of structural design of the series of products has been improved notably. In order to remedy the deficiency of the parameter software, the finite element method software ANSYS is still adopted for static and buckling analyses of the main structure. Rational computing technology and conclusion are provided, making the structural design of completed car tending towards rationally even more.
