Research On Route Intelligent Guidance Based On Rules In Vehicle Terminals

When a driver is not familiar with the road net, Route Guidance can provide real-time guidance for reaching destinations safely and quickly. Today, improving intelligence, veracity and real-time of the vehicle navigation become the emphases of research, so does route guidance. Therefore, it is necessary to provide intelligent guidance instructions and some information, including the status of the vehicle, dynamic route condition information, weather information and traffic regulations when processing the route guidance.For the route guidance problem in Vehicle Location and Navigation System, the rule-based knowledge representation in the field of Artificial Intelligence has been introduced in this paper to design the structure of a route intelligent guidance module for the purpose of the intelligence improvement in route guidance process. Moreover, the rulebase research of design and expression concerning characteristics of embedded system, and the control strategic optimization have finally achieved the development of prototype system in vehicle terminal. The main research work is as follows:(1) After analyzing the requirement of intelligence and real-time of route guidance, this paper has presented the function of each part in the route intelligence guidance system, and also system requirements for static data (including electronical map database ) and dynamic data (including GPS Location data and dynamic route condition data).(2) Based on system analysis, the whole frame of the route intelligence guidance system has been analyzed, designs of the structure of the route intelligence guidance module are also stressed in this paper. Aiming at the characteristics of the embedded equipment, the content of rulebase has been researched, and the presentation of rule based on XML and the related reasoning process has been designed.(3) This paper has also developed the demo route intelligent guidance system by using eSuperMap based on WinCE in vehicle terminal, and it has obtained a satisfactory result.It is practical of the research in this paper on related technique and route guidance process of vehicle navigation system. This paper presents a method in which rule expressions and reasoning procedures can be actualized in embedded equipments. As a result, the intelligence of route navigation in vehicle terminal has been improved for more travel safety, and therefore an intelligent driving assistant has been set up for Vehicle Location and Navigation System.
