| Jinan, capital of Shandong Province, is the province's political, economic and cultural center. Jinan is known as "City of Spring". The famous proverb, "every family drinks spring water and cultivates poplar trees", describes the beautiful scenery of Jinan. But with the fast development of urban construction and the continuous increase of population, Jinan has been short of water and the springs have been dried for a long time in recent years, which makes the city lost her countenance and embarrasses the high-speed growth of economy.The current water-supply situation in Jinan is: Wohushan reservoir is in the south side, Yuqinghu reservoir in the west and Queshan reservoir in the north of the city. But there is no reservoir in the east zone, although it is the center of many factories and mines,, including Jinan Iron & Steel Group Corporation, Jinan Oil Refinery Petrochemistry Group Corporation, Jinan Huangtai Electric Power Plant, Jinan Chemical Fertilizer Plant, Qilu Pharmaceutical General Factory, Jinan Zhenghao Advanced Fibre Co.,Ltd, and The Jinan High-Technology Industrial Development Zone. They are the leading force of the city's economy. Even now more and more industrial corporations and high-technology companies gather here to share the benefits of the development. In the east zone, pumping the ground water is the only source of water. A ground water descent funnel (nearly 200 square kilometer) has formed due to the intemperate pumping of ground water and caused a series of entironment problems.The east zone is a part of Jinan, but from some special points of view, it is independence oppositely. According to the specialties of Jinan's springs, this article analyses the water resource from the viewpoints of the city and the east zone. Chapter 1, the author analyzed the geographyof the city, general situation of the springs in Jinan and the east zone; Chapter 2, the author analyzed the status of current water resource, the status of water providing and consuming; Chapter 3, the author analyzed and evaluated the request of water providing of agriculture, industry, and urban-living.Chapter 4, the author forecasts the water supply of years of different types; Chapter5, the author analyzed the providing-consuming balance of water resource according to the former conclusions; chapter 6, the author made a final conclusion of the whole article. |
