Study On The Land-use Expansion And Its Relationship With Transportation In Big Cities

Nowadays, great progress had made in Chinese big cities. There are many absonant appearances during the course of the urban land-use development. One of the distinct ones is that the urban transportation worsens while city expands fast. Here the relative study is made in this thesisAt first, this thesis makes literature review to know the relative studies from home and aboard. Basing on summarizing of the studies, this paper considers that the complex correlation between land-use and transport expresses in many aspects of urban development and concludes the main factors and effectiveness on the development of urban area.Subsequently, this thesis analyzes the correlation between urban land-use space expansion and transport development, including interrelations between urban land-use space expansion and urban transport stratagem, transport mode, urban orbital transport, urban road networks, etc.Then, taking Tianjin city and Chengdu city as the example, the case study work is carried out by interpreting and analyzing of satellite images of the two cities within 10 years. The thesis arrived at two analysis result: first is the main mode of urban land -use space expansion from the aspect of morphology; second is the interaction between transport and urban land-use space expansion.Finally, the thesis sums up main conclusions and findings of different parts, and gives suggestions on harmony of transportation and land-use space expansion.
