With the development of technolgy on the mitigation of seismic disaster, more and more energy dissipation systems have been applied in the buildings.In this paper, the author analysis the stiffness and characteristic of dissipation of two different type of damper:displacement dependent damper and velocity dependent dampe.Baced on this, the seismic performance of structures incorporating the frictional dampers and viscoelastic dampers is analysis through time history analysis.The main research contents of this thesis are as follows:1.Analysis the characteristic of dissipation of frictional damper and compared the differences of stiffness of the frictional dampers with slide pole or not. A new kind of energy dissipation brace was devised to consume vibration energy by rotational and sliding friction. The nonlinear constitutive relationship model of the energy dissipation brace is found.2. The characteristic of the viscoelastic damper and four calculating models which are used to analyze the viscoelastic damper are introduced, Maxwell model, kelvin model and standard linearity solid model are used to analyze the SA-3 viscoelastic damping material and analytical model are used to analyze some kind of a damping material, then through the comparision of analytical results and experimental result.some conclusions are give out.3.The stiffness of steel structure and frictional dampers is simulated by two fold line stiffness retrograde model, the paper has written a program with language MATLAB and the elastoplastic analysis of frictional structure is carried. The elastoplastic analysis of viscoelastic structure is carried with modern control theory when structure is simulated by three fold time stiffness retrograde model and viscoelastic dampers is simulated by Kelvin model.
