With the more demand for energy and the less fossil fuel it becomes, finding a new energy that can be used persistently is to be the key mission for us today. Biomass Energy as a reproducible energy has been paid more attention by the countries all over the world. To study, exploit and utilize the biomass energy has became an important task for all the countries in the world, too. Although direct combustion of biomass is the simplest and earliest mode, most of the biomass are only used as common fuels and with a lower burning efficiency, as well as with a significant waste of energy resource. In this dissertation,a novel technology was developed, which crushed the biomass into powder size and then combusted. By taken this method, a sufficient energy, sustainable utilization of biomass and a clean combustion could be achieved, which is benefit to the environment protection. The content of the dissertation includes comminuting the ordinary biomass, such as, the phoenix tree branches, leaves and straw haulm, into powder size, and burning in the firebox by air. With a lot of primary and pilot experiments, the optimum conditions for the perfect burning of the biomass powder were obtained. Adequate work were taken on designing, selecting and ameliorating the equipments of crushing and combustion,which could efficiently combust the biomass. In this dissertation, the microstructure and element component of the biomass powder were analyzed by many apparatus, and the certain characteristics of the powder were obtained. The exhaust of the powder combustion were also tested. The results showed that a less pollution to the environment was caused by using this technique. Additionally, the ash is a very nice fertilizer. The approval technique is very important for the development of the clean energy.
