Based on the research of product classified characteristics of CVT and on the research of present situation, this article has proposed and studied one kind of New-type Impulse CVT of Low Impulsion Rate. This CVT has low impulsion rate, output impulsion rate invariability when positive and reversal working. Mainly completed are as follows: Started from low impulsion rate, several kinds of requirement-meeting mechanisms are comparatively analyzed, the formula of cam-profile and pressure angle are established, kinematics simulation and the structure realization of each mechanism are analyzed by using virtual technology. On this foundation, one kind of superior performance mechanism is chosen to conduct the research, precise determination of the cam-profile is programmed. Meanwhile the chosen mechanism is carried on the kinematics, dynamics static analysis. The calculation formulas on the cam profile and the minimize radius of curvature are determined. Fundamental performance parameters of this CVT and their influencing factors are systematically analyzed. The selection principles of those structural parameters are presented. In order to get the lightest weight, the best quality of transmission and the smallest velocity perturbation in the process of velocity modulation, the multi-target optimization model is established. Through the solution of this optimization model, optimum parameters of CVT are determined. Application Pro/E software to establish 3D modeling, define constraint and virtual assemble. Use ADAMS software to implement kinematics, dynamics simulations. Through kinematics simulation, the interference of CVT is verified and the accurate movement of CVT is qualified. Through dynamics simulation, the load bearing capacity and movement characteristics of the main elements of CVT are obtained.
