The development experience of world shipbuilding industry shows that in order to develop shipbuilding industry ,we must build a strong related industry of shipping. If we want to turn our country into the world-class big country of shipbuilding, we must make our country become big fabrication country of the shipping related equipment. At present, most domestic shipping related equipment depend on introducing foreign technology to produce, It is weaker to research and develop independently. So it's significant to use the virtual prototyping technology. It will accelerate the digestion and absorbtion of the imported technology . It also can help us shake off dependence on foreign technology.The ship hoist that depends on introducing foreign technology to produce and the imported ship hoist at present occupy the leading position of market. How enhances the domestically produced hoist crane necessary rate? According to one physical ship crane , we set up it's physical model with the help of three-dimensional modelling software Pro/E virtual prototyping software Adams. Probe the way of using the prototyping technology to develop the shipping electromechanical equipment.This paper utilize mainly the virtual prototyping software to build up the dynamics model of the crane and simulate the model. This paper also anlysis the result of the co-simulation.According to different movement of the crane , this paper build up the dynamics model of rising and rotation hydraulic system. Through co-simulation we obtain the dynamic characteristic of the system. The simulation result offered theoretical foundation for choice of the hydraulic component. It will shorten the time to design and debugging the system and reduce the cost. This paper also make use of the optimizationdesign function of Adams. It found the best junction place which make the raising force smallest. The result of the optimization analysis of the raising part provide a strong cause to improve the old design .Practice has proved that virtual prototyping technology offer a strong tool for development of the shipping electromechanical equipment. It offer an opportunity for progress of the shipping electromechanical equipment of our country;it also offer us the shortcut to catch up with foreign advanced technology.
