The shape memory alloy is an intelligent material, which has a good prospect in the field of structural vibration control. First,this thesis introduces that the shape memory alloy has two very special characteristics: shape memory effect and super elastic, and an overview of SMA applications in structural vibration control are summarized. Second, to analysis the defects of rubber bearings, it introduces that SMA—rubber composite bearings gain better advantage of seismic forces than usual rubber bearings. And a method of improving the work frequency of shape memory alloy wire actuators, developing fine wires, is investigated. Finally, utilize the software ANSYS to analysis the seismic isolation effect on the structure with SMA—rubber composite bearings. Under the effect of earthquake simulation, it can simulate the process of seismic isolation with one-way seismic action, and analysis the nodal displacement and acceleration, with three deferent bases which includes stationary seismic isolation bearings,rubber bearings,and SMA—rubber composite bearings. Useful results are totally concluded,mainly focus on the law of seismic reduction which related to the internal forces of different bars of the structure,which shows that structures with SMA—rubber composite bearings can effectively reduce the seismic forces and are prefer to those with rubber bearings,and expectations on the research are proposed.
