Research On The Exterior Form Renewal In Old Buildings

Presently reusing of old building has Sprung up at the background of today'sadjustment of industrial structure in Chinese city.But most of the study before isrested on the interior space , and did not work over the exterior formrenewal.Furthermore most renewal projects is only focus on the skin.So we bringforward the exterior form renewal in old buildings,hoping to make help for renewalpractice.The concept of exterior form renewal is brunt up from the reality,and it goesunder the guide of sustainable development idea.Old buildings' exterior form renewalis so complex that it involves many factors.Some are active ,some are passive.Thesepassive factors provide more opportunity in creating new circumstance .Thischaracteristic make the method different from the new buildings.In this paper,therestrictive factors of exterior form renewal are divided into three parts:the function,the culture and the technology,Also,the way and the extend of the restriction areanalyzed particularly.Therefore based on the three fundamental definition ofarchitecture (form, humanism and technology).This dissertation sets up its frameworkin its theory part, and then analysis, discusses and explores the contemporary thoughtsand tendencies taking in the old buildings' renewal movements.Starting with restrictions can not only make the plan more rational and creative,but a1so stimulate new design considering more for renewal.
