Study Of Minimalism Architecture About Form And Technique

Minimal architecture tendency revolts to post-modernism anddeconstructionism in the end of last century. Its appearance is tightlyrelated to the modern architecture movement in 1920s and minimalism artin 1960s.In the past ten years, the idea of minimal architecture has changegreatly. It has plenty of design ideas except of the fist idea "less ismore". Nowadays, many architecture works show minimal tendency more orless. This article researched the relationship of minimal architecture'sform and Technique, pointed out that there is much Technique hide in thesimply form. In the aspect of form, this article explained the estheticsof simply form, and summarized the form character by geometry, reversion,space, using of light, interior design and site spirit. In the aspect ofTechnique, this paper studied the factors such as minimalist andmaximalist, construction and decoration, surface, structure , details andmaterial. In the end, this paper introduced minimalism in china andpointed out that its development is depended on our country's technicallevel. This article called for rational design ways by the inner an outerresearch of minimal architecture, and hopefully to bring some experienceand lesson to architecture design in china.
