A bad combusting condition had been occurring on the two boilers typed DG670/13.7-â…¡-Ï€in the Huanggezhuang power plant for two years: 2003-2004. There were fourteen times boilers break without arrangement which has had a serious influence on the development of the company. In order to improve the combusting condition of their boilers and prevent the"Four-Pipes"from leaking, we made experiments and improvements on the combusting system of #22 boiler. Through the regulating experiments and setting the system of air-powder examining in-line, not only the combusting condition has been improved, but also the operators can control the proportions of wind and powder accurately through the condition of operation."Four-Pipes"of the #22 boiler never leaked during the last eight months. At the end of the experiment, we reconstructed the subsystem of second air measuring, i.e. we used airfoil measuring equipment as a replacement of original equipment of flute pipe. We also demarcated the velocities of spouts of burner which can deal with correlative data, and which can provide some help for operation.Through this combusting modification, the adaptability of the #22 boiler is improved, and it is a technological reference for operation which make the boiler more security.This study is a successful example of modificatiion of old unit, has reference to operation, regulation and modificatiion of old unit.
