The popular 10 KV connection modes of distribution network in Chongqing, which can fulfill the requirments for reliable supply, good power quality and economical processing, include the ring mode and the switching station -centered radical mode, adopted in the project of building up and reforming the distribution network, especially in the newly-built development region and industrial region. What kind of method should be adopted to assess the strength and weakness of the two types of 10 KV connection modes of distribution network? Under which circumstances one of them might be the optimized mode? It's a very important and valuble issue for research.Therefore, based on the present approaches to optimizing the connection mode of 10 KV distribution network, this dissertation suggests the optimized weighting method suitable to the reform of 10 KV distribution network in Chongqing through comparative ananlysis. That's strength and weakness analysis method. This method expands the contents for optimizing the connection mode involved, which include the following four aspects: its technology, economy, feasibility and development attributes and at last the relevant comprehensive analysis is conducted. For any two alternatives, their superiority and inferiority coefficients are calculated respectively, in the mean time, their superiority and inferiority coefficients are compared with a pair of controlling parameters, which hence decide whice alternative is better.Afterwards, this dissertation applies the above-mentioned strength and weakness analysis method to analyzing the optimization process of the two connection modes for 5 districts in Chayuan Industrial Region, Chongqing City. First, we use the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis Method to analyze the reliability of the two connection modes in the districts. Second, we compare the dynamic economy attributes of the two connection modes with the Minimal Annual Cost Method, and obtain the values of their feasibility and development attributes according to the evaluation rules established by experts. At last, we adopt the strength and weakness analysis method given in this dissertation to comprehensively analyze the four attributes of the two connection methods, hence, pick out the optimized connection models for the 5 districts. Through calculating and ananlyzing the five examples and comparing with the 10KV distribution network actually adopted by Chongqing ELECTRIC POWER CORP., this dissertation indicates that it's reasonable and feasible to apply the improved optimized weighting...
