The thesis analyzes the status quo and shortage of current color analyzing tools, based in industrial design theory and modern design methodology, with a view to the problems in the color design process, brings forward an all-around solution aiming at color designing of architecture exterior.This thesis constructs the appropriative color space to redound to the process of special color selection, contrives the tone harmonizing tool based on architecture exterior design, and constructs the color design knowledge database and scheme database, validates the rationality of the color design method by integrated cases, achieves the effective way of computer aided color design and applies this method to the instance of architecture design, furnishes way to import market requirement into design process.The thesis inducts the "tone harmonizing" theory into architecture exrerior color design for the first time, emphasizing the importance of color tone harmonizing. According architecture color swatch card, the designer alters the color parameters, takes the environment influential factors into account, and optimizes the effect analogy of color selection and tone harmonizing, in order to make choice of color solutions. The thesis mainly uses analyzing, analogy, illustration to implement the computer aided method, improves the design efficiency by a certain extent.The prototype of the system tool is the "tone harmonizing" tool, applied to the color design of architecture exterior. In the design process, taking the factors such as color space property, color harmonizing effect, color tone classification and material and texture effect, into account, it provides a doable color enactment for modern industrial design.
