Research On The Design Techniques Of The Facade Color In Modern Architecture

As an important factor in the three design elements which includes "shape, color, material". Color design is also having a great influence on people’s visual perception. However, there are still"confused"," tacky"," gray" and a series of problems in modern architectural color design,this mainly reflects in the selection and matching of the building color and also the design techniques. These exactly proves that it is insufficient of some designers’color design level. Therefore, it is necessary to do some relatively comprehensive, system, thoroughly research on modern architectural theory of color design and color design of building facade,which also provide reference to the architect for the color design practice. At the same time,study on building color contributes to the formation of aesthetics and the appropriate color effect,and helps to improve people’s living environment and quality of color.This paper adopted the analysis method and inductive method, taking the investigation cases and buildings which have appeared in the literature in recent years.There are many domestic and foreign buildings in the research,from the single modern building to group buildings. With the in-depth study of color design, the paper mainly includes four parts:First, to deeply analyze the color design theory of architecture,such as the characteristics of architecture color, the effect of color for buildings’shape, the design principles and steps. And the influence factor in the facade colors of buildings were well analyzed, such as building materials, building type, the light, the height of the building, environment etc.Second, combined with the typical examples to analyze the basic interaction principles of color in modern architectures, such as color’s contrast and harmony, primary and secondary, symmetry and proportion, rhythm and cadence principle and so on in buildings’facades,which provided well basis to color design, and can be uesd to guide the color design of buildings.Third, took the signle buildings of domestic and foreigner for example to do some research. From simple monochrome,the color in inner space, color decorative, color line, color block and other aspects, summed up a set of color design techniques of building facade. For different types of design techniques, draw the basic typies, and learn its specific performance.Fourth, extended to group buildings, induced the design technique of modern group buildings, doing some research on the existing literature has not with or without in-depth study of tactics.
