Clinging to the fact that the sun brings light and heat, the thesis discusses the reciprocity mechanism between the sun and the building s form , the material and the construction in three aspects: the utilizing of sunlight, the shelter from the sun, as well as the light and shadow;explores the measure and the new technology of using sunlight and sheltering from the sun to gain comfortable surroundings of the building inside and their influence on the building surface;discusses the theory that the sun play an important role in architecture. With analyzing the three buildings as living examples, it is pointed that the development and application of building technology can coordinate the problems among various function of the building surface, and that we should pay more attention on the artistic outlook of building as well as the technology for energy saving. Taking many of buildings about the article's main idea as examples, the thesis is an article with the significance of architecture practice and exploring the theory.
