With the development of city and city mobility, traffic becomes an important problem restraining the development of Chinese big cities. How to solve the big cities' traffic problem is the focus of all industries. Generally, the traffic way, vehicle and adding traffic line come to our mind firstly when we talk about how to solve the problem of city traffic.And we ignore the construction of stations itself because it is only a doorway to traffic system in China. Today, with the change of urban public transportation structure and urban framework, we must know that stations' development plays an important role in solving the city traffic problem.With the integrated urban transportation comes into being step by step in China, the relations between traffic, city and stations become more and more obvious. But among the theses about transportation and transportation buildings, little is concerned about the suggestion on the development of stations from the point of transportation, and little is concerned about the stations' positive effect on urban public transportation. As the key nodes of urban integrated transportation system, urban rapid-transit station complex plays an important part in city transportation construction. In Europe, America, Japan and other developed countries, the construction of stations has close relation with city traffic, And many urban rapid-transit station complex have been setup. So the paper tries to research the development trend of urban rapid-transit station complex from the point of transportation.This paper is divided into four parts: The first part introduces how the urban integrated transportation effect on passenger station's development to make clearly the background knowledge of transportation. The second part begins from the integrated transportation formation and discusses in detail about development trend of stations from two points. One is the integrated traffic's direct effect on the development of stations, and the other point is indirect effect. It makes a macro-image on the stations under integrated transportation. The third part begins from the design of stations, and transforms the challenge facing the stations under integrated transportation into visual architecture language. It provides detailed practice consult to new stations from many aspects of designing, for example, space, shape, indication & recognition design, etc. The forth part concisely introduces the present situation, challenge, opportunity of Chinese urban stations, providing an exact cut-in point for development of Chinese urban passenger transportation system to use for referencethe foreign advanced experiences.
