The research of structural noise control is an important aspect of noise and vibration control domains. The IS100-65-315 centrifugal pump as the research object, the prediction and optimization of the structural noise has been studied. The work includes these aspects: the construction of entity model the fluid channel in the centrifugal pump;fluid field in the centrifugal pump analysis(calculation of the radial force);the construction of entity model and Finite Element(FE)model of the centrifugal pump;search of Boundary Element(BE)Method for noise prediction;the modal analysis of the centrifugal pump;the harmonic response analysis and radiated noise prediction.The achievements of former researcher in noise and vibration control of centrifugal pump are reviewed firstly, which make the key problems clearer. The finite element method and the finite element software (CFX , Patran/Nastran and Sysnoise) are introduced.The paper researches fluid field in the IS100-65-315 centrifugal pump .According to the feature of geometry and fluid field in the centrifugal pump, it is described the fluid channel in the centrifugal pump impeller by structured grids. In this paper, the standard k- e turbulence model and wall function were adopted to solve 3D turbulent flow field in the impeller of a centrifugal pump. The influences of the blade profile on speed distribution, press distributions. The flow regulation pattern in the impeller of a centrifugal was also investigated. It offered us help in analysis of vibration and yawp and the vibration effect of the radial force. First making use of finite element analysis software Patran/Nastran to analyze the frequency response , then calculate the vibration displacement and the vibration velocity of forced vibration of the centrifugal pump. The centrifugal pump models and the calculated vibration velocity are import into the acoustics analysis software Sysnoise to analyze the radiation-noise-field, calculate sound pressure and sound pressure level of the field points in the radiation-noise-field and study the impact of the centrifugal pumpstructural parameters modification. The technique of the research and the conclusions are valuable to other scholars' research in this field .
