Driving simulator is a research and development experiment device used to train the driver and test the driving and safety performance, the condition of the road. It is a kind of simulated device which can simulate real-time driving act accurately and make the driver felling driving the real car.Driving simulator, also called driving simulated system, is a high-tech platform crossing many kinds of technologies, which integrated mechanical transmission technology, sensor technology, computer technology, computer graphics, 3-D real-time moving technology, computer interface technology, artificial intelligence technology, data traffic technology, network technology and multimedia technology. Used driving simulator, the interaction relations of vehicle, driver and road can be researched, and the drivers can be trained.In the development of this topic, the main researched contents are several modules including electronic control system of driving simulator, net-data communication and scene simulation system. These are the core of the control system in driving simulator and data transfer in distributing interactive system, and an important component of virtual traffic scenes. These modules play a significant decisive role in the functions, the effects and the costs of the whole system.According to the steps from hardware to software, from the technology in the bottom to function realized, this article introduces the principles and structure of hardware in the bottom of driving simulator and human-machine hardware-software interface and how to come true;the basic of multi-machine network communications technology in distributed interactive scene and the realization methods;the technology used in the virtual scene model, scene optimization methods and traffic rule planning in the city.After the research and development on the topics, the main functions of the driving simulator have been come true. The main problem in the system has been solved too. And a developed platform of disturbing interactive driving simulator has been set up.In the process of the development, author has developed his own intellectual property rights, the signal collection system which has practical value, control equipment and human-machine hardware-software interface, distributed-network data transmission agreement and a good sense of immersion virtual city scenes including some traffic rules. These functions allow the driver used the driving simulator have the same feeling with the real car users, and set up solid basic for a further development and perfect in the future.
