Power system digital simulation is believed as an indispensable tool for the planning, design, dispatching and operation of power system, where digital simulation veracity is an important factor for decision making. Error evaluation criteria of dynamic simulation provide a precondition for simulation validation study.Following the characteristics of power system dynamic simulation, this paper makes a brief introduction of basis of power system dynamic simulation and its verification, and proposes three categories of error criteria, namely numeric indices, relevant criteria and eigen criteria.In this paper, a case is studied with respect to the measured data from an actual big disturbance of a certain grid so that the validity of these criteria are testified, and applicable ranges of the criteria are given. The effect that load models have on power system dynamic simulation is studied with the error evaluation criteria, which, furthermore, may provide a helpful guide for error positioning and model modification.
