Research On The Design Of The Form Of Shared Space In Building

Space is the soul of architecture, and shared space is more active part in the architectural space. The contemporary architectural practice on shared space already surpassed J·Portman's hotel atrium theory.So, at first, three levels from the concept of shared space to be defined and elaborated in this thesis, and limited research scope of this thesis is internal structure of the architectural space. This thesis mainly focuses on systematic analysis of the shared space form, including its form relations with parent, the form type of shared space, interface analysis, inter elements and so on, in addition to focusing on the analysis of the new features of contemporary shared space design ,and revealing general rules of the contemporary architectural shared space. Then these typical examples of contemporary shared space are analysised and discussed. Finally to sum up the whole article, I try to make shared space form design principles. The design principles explained here may refer to the design practice in the future.
