At present,most of the residential areas in China are closed residential communities.With the development of society and the evolution of urbanization,closed residential communities have caused many problems,such as serious traffic congestion and poor access to cities;public service facilities are not available.The rational use of resources leads to a waste of resources;the spatial functions of neighborhoods are relatively simple and lack of vitality;the living space of residential quarters is isolated from the urban areas and lacks interaction;people often do not know each other.Under these problems,moderately open residential areas and shared space resources can effectively solve these problems.The openness of the settlement to the city can effectively promote the sustainable development of the city and realize the organic integration with the city.In accordance with various urban diseases that existed in society,the government proposed operational construction advice and strengthened urban planning and management.The comments put forward:“Strengthen the convergence of the overall urban planning and overall land use planning and promote the integration of the two plans;in principle,No longer build closed residential quarters;establish the concept of urban road layout of “narrow roads,dense road networks”;achieve full coverage within 500 meters of bus stops in central urban areas;urban parks are,in principle,open to residents free of charge,etc.This opinion effectively supports openness.The application of street concept in urban settlements The Fifth Plenary Session of the 18 th CPC Central Committee also proposed the development concept of “innovation,coordination,green,openness,and sharing” and build a modern city that is harmonious,livable and full of vitality.The opening of enclosed fences is in line with the development laws of the city,and it is a synergy with new development concepts,especially the concept of shared development.Although the process of implementation will face issues such as the security and privacy of residential areas,the population density in the city is high.In the context of limited space and unreasonable road network structure in the automobile era,this policy is worth exploring.In this context,this article explores the issue of shared space in settlements from the perspective of open blocks.First,explain the relevant theories and their applications at home and abroad.Second,analyze the current status of residential areas in China and the problemsthey face.Then explain the possibility and necessity of opening up the block,and then specifically from the traffic network system,street space,and multifunctional sharing space,sharing of public service facilities and resources to study,and finally through case studies and field research,summed up the block-type residential areas in the road system,spatial shape,the overall characteristics of the sharing of resources and construction significance,and open sharing of urban settlements The prospects for the future.
