With the remand of intelligent control in industry and rapid development of computer and microelectronics, Human Computer Interface keeps not only a close relationship with our lives, but also be applied in fields of industry control, medical treatment, military, aviation and so on.The main subject investigation is the Human Computer Interface in excitation system. It is an important component of excitation system.16-bit MCU HCS12 of MOTOROLA Company is adopted as the core of unit. Weighed the matter's versatility and practicability seriously, the unit is separated into several parts, including LCD display, keyboard-input, serial port RS-232, RS-485, CAN bus, FRAM, nonvolatile random access memory(NVRAM), one digital potentiometer and DC-DC module. All these modules both display data quickly and modify parameters correctly and make the system perfect and the range of application universal. The software tool is Code WarriorTMintegrated development environment (IDE) of Metrowerks Company. It completes the compiling and debug of entirely program code. Code Warrior IDE gets the advantages, such as cross-platform, multiple languages, uniform developing environment interface, supporting plug-in unit tools, etc.P&E's USB HCS08/HCS12 MULTILINK Interface provides access to the Background Debug Mode (BDM) on Freescale HCS12 microcontrollers. The user can then directly control the target's execution, read/write registers and memory values, debug code on the processor, and program internal or external FLASH memory devices.Software programming is completed after the design of hardware. All these validate the whole design's feasibility and lay the foundation for further product's design.
