Data Link Communications In Human-computer Interface Design Research

This thesis would concentrate on the human computer interface issues created by the introduction of digital data links into the civilian aircraft cockpit. The use of data links will certainly greatly increase, but real-time ability is not well enough to meet the airplane landing and taking off. New data links and effective human computer interface are welcome.The civil line ATC develop for automation and intelligence. The data link changed conventional phonic navigation, and realized digital communication. Those changes also prepare for the automation and intelligence of ATC. The design of HCI must resolve the problem by the use of data link and improve the safety of flight.On the base of the before study, the set of instructions will be classified to design intellectualized menu to select for pilots, which predigests the operation of the pilots. The display and input of information on CDU EDU and MIDU is realized compactly, which makes the display of information visible.Simulation will be performed between two computers, one is HCI and the other is ATC. The validity has been tested by the results of simulation.
