Ice-storage air conditioning system works by making ice in the nighttime with the power consumption at valley hours and melting the ice to release cold energy in the daytime with the power consumption at peak hours to meet air conditioning need.Ice-storage air conditioning is an important approach to shift electric demand from on-peak electric rate periods to off-peak periods, and a branch of modern air conditioning system. Theoretical research and the economic analysis of ice-storage air conditioning has important theoretical value and practical signification.In this thesis, the basic theory of thermal storage air conditioning technic is presented. First, it compared and analyzed about ice-storage air conditioning system and conventional air conditioning adopted by Tianjin Kaiyue Restaurant. It is proved the technology of ice-storage benefical to users based on on-peak and off-peak electrovalence, and it further show that ice-storage air conditioning is economical and practical. Besides, combined with a project example, exergy analysis of ice-storage system could identify locations of exergy losses and indicates ways to minimize exergy losses. Finally, it gave out theoretical analysis of heat transfer characteristic about adopted ice-ball with double metallic cores. Based on this, it furter show that it will bring different effect as different metallic material and different secondary refrigerant temperature. In addition, it gave theoretical basis about placket figure of metallic cores.
