On the basis of the work having been done, according to several design codes includingCode for design of tall buildings, Code fort aseismic design of buildings and Code for designof steel structures, the real model for mobile communication tower is designed. Furthermore, the hybrid model of finite element calculation model with space model for communicationtower is established. The unit hardness matrix and the coordinate conversion matrix are of themodel are deduced. The VC++ language is applied to program the software of structureanalysis of communication tower. Moreover, the maximal distortion shift of the towerstructure of calculated by using the self-programmed software. By comparison with thecalculation results of SuperSAP software, the feasibility of the proposed design method isverifies. In this dissertation, a self-supporting straight line communication tower is used as theobject, which is sixty-two meters in height and eight meters in base width. The internal force, strength and stability of the tower rods in four working conditions are calculated. Besides, thestress values of the same rod in four working conditions are analyzed and compared. Thesizes of application cross-section of the unit rods are selected according to the abovecalculation results.
