In recent years, the global energy shortage and environmental pollution problems are being increasingly prominent, people earnestly hope to apply a new technology to save energy and protect environment. LED semiconductor applied to photovoltaic lighting system is just this kind of charming new technology. People attach more and more importance to the semiconductor illumination for its remarkable merits just as longevity, energy saving, green environmental protection and so on, and consider it as the most valuable, new light source in the 21st century.Combining the technology of solar cell photoelectricity transformation with that of the semiconductor radiation and utilizing optics refraction principle, this paper puts forward a design method for illuminant display board of LED to develop lamp box, which has such merits as no filament light source, no inverter energy consumption, and DC power supply. Based on the design principle for LCD of Notebook, illuminant display board of LED is a significant application in the field of illumination, and also is a technological product in the field of spot light source conversion into surface light source. In order to strengthen the illuminant effect of display board, some material such as optic level PMMA LGP, reflection sheet and Ad film, etc is applied reasonably in the process of design. This paper also gives a detailed theoretical analysis on the characteristic of these material and their role in the system. The validity of this method is finally verified based on abundant experimental data.Also, the optimum matching of solar cell, storage battery and LED deserves our research in the system. This paper puts forward an optimal design method in aspects of capacity, power matching and so on.Stochastic nature is the main difference between photovoltaic system and conventional energy. Because the time dependence characteristics of photovoltaic system enhance the instability of system. According to the request of the task, this paper puts forward a design method of charge and discharge controller, which is applied in photovoltaic illuminating system, and preferably solves the output energy instability of solar cell in the system. Besides, control and protection for storage battery and LED are also research emphases in this paper. Finally, the circuitry design and software algorithms are presented in this paper, correlativeexperimental data and waveforms are also presented as well.
