The municipal water supply network system is the city's life vein. With the development of the city, the water supply network continuously extended. It has become a complicated structure system, with large-scale and high randomness of water demand. To administrate the network system scientifically, it is necessary to do hydraulic calculation and analysis firstly and then to acquire the accurate status of network operations data. Based on this, the manager and decision makers can understand and meet the needs of the water supply network. It can test the quality of network design and operation. It provides the basis for the design and operation of pumping stations. The optimal design for reformation and extension of the network system can be carried out.Based on AutoCAD platform, this paper develops a hydraulic calculation model of urban water supply network by using Visual LISP. The main elements of the model include the following parts:1. Numerical calculation module. It included two parts: nodal flow calculation and hydraulic calculation. The model can get the data and graphic information of water network directly from the graph by using the developing ability of Visual LISP. With the knowledge of Graph Theory, the model can automatically get the incidence matrix, thus realize the hydraulic calculation. To a certain extent, it brought convenience for the hydraulic calculation. Nodal method is used in the hydraulic calculation.2. Special status calculation modules. By using the module, we can check the water network whether can satisfy the minimum water demand under the special working conditions.3. Display module. By using the module, the data achieved by calculated can be labeled in the graphics. It included the pipe information, node information, water source information and water isobar.4. Query module. The calculation data is saved by means of extended data and graphics dictionary. We can find the data by using the query module and get the result displayed in dialog box.5. Analysis module. By using the data and graphics, we can analyse the status ofthe water supply network system. It will propel the procedure of scientific management of water supply networks.
